Relevant Involvements
I work for the Youth Cafe a leading Pan-African youth organisation based in Nairobi, Kenya. We are currently running four major projects on Virtual Reality Labs, Participatory Budgeting, Policy Juries and Climate Change. We offer youth participatory budgeting platform and involvement in the essential government projects since we believe that when you empower young people, it helps us build stronger communities and a brighter future.
We model and guide youth-led approaches towards Sustainable Development Goals, social equity, democratic governance and economic viability practices by employing Technology in research, advocacy action and policy development - rightly revealed in The Kenya Youth Manifesto. We have managed to empower young people to lead local developmental projects, to start and manage small business, and to speak with one voice in local, national decision-making. We have managed to reach over 2 million young people with consultation for Kenya Youth Manifesto and local governance; and coordinated and helped over 60 Youth Organizations to advocate for social change. More than 10 Countries have been impacted by our work in Kenya for the online youth budgeting participatory budgeting platform.
