Gitegi Kimotho

Gitegi Kimotho is a Kenyan based writer,spoken word artist, photographer and an arts enthusiast. He best describes himself as an African story teller. His passion and dedication to life and nature,his free spirit and his determination to be an agent of change form the basis of his inspiration. His works revolve around (but not limited to) political sanity, environmental conservation and gender equality. With a number of accolades to his name,Gitegi uses his position to mentor and train younger artists under his movement 'Purpose poetry' and runs a tri-annual spoken word event dubbed 'The Poetry Experience'. His goal is to tell the African story in an African perspective. His mission is to inspire positive change through art as well as his lifestyle.
