Hamimu Masudi
Hamimu Masudi is a Ugandan communication professional, policy analyst and a social mobilizer. He has over 15 years track record in designing and implementing social justice campaigns that cultivate national, regional and international groundswell of support in Africa –before that, Hamimu held various positions in the media.
Hamimu is currently the Media Officer for the Minority Rights Group International where he has so-far published case studies on devastating impacts of climate change on pastoral and indigenous people in Kenya. In the same role, Hamimu has overseen media coverage of climate change impact on migration of people.
Previously, he coordinated the set-up and implementation of campaign initiatives for Plan International and Equality Now. Hamimu has also been a VSO international volunteer attached to the UN Millennium Campaign.
In addition to this practical experience, Hamimu’s education background seats-in so well within the realms of, public communication, social mobilization and advocacy; he is a graduate of an Executive MA in Public Policy and Administration and a holder of a BSc in Mass Communication.
