Viktoriya Nem
Self-proclaimed tea connoisseur and tech enthusiast, Viktoriya is passionate about gender equality, human rights, and climate change. Her current area of interest lies at the intersection of digitalization and environmental sustainability, specifically in how digital technology tools like big data and artificial intelligence/AI can be used to address the environmental challenges of today.
Viktoriya earned B.A. in Political Science and International Relations, magna cum laude, from Nazarbayev University in 2016, and her Master in Public Policy degree from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore in 2019. During her time at the LKY School, she served as External Communications Officer for the student advocacy group Bridging Gender and Policy that promoted awareness of gender issues and how they relate to a wide range of public policies. In 2018, representing Kazakhstan and Singapore, Viktoriya participated in 4th Youth Leadership Workshop on Global Citizen Education Development organized by UNESCO APCEIU in Seoul, South Korea.
In her free time, Viktoriya enjoys reading sci-fi, learning new languages, playing ukulele, and traveling the world.
